Ajanta Ellora - A journey back in time

Ajanta-Ellora was on my to-do list from a long time and the Marathwada heat hovering above 40 degrees did not deter us this time and we decided to go ahead with it this summer vacation. :D We arrived in Aurangabad at around 8 am and checked in Hotel Gurjas (known as Hotel Oberoi then). Hence we could not start off early to beat the heat. We; however, had a quick breakfast in a nearby restaurant and started off in our booked taxi at around 10 am. It took around 45 minutes to reach the Ellora caves from our hotel.
